18 Republican lawmakers nominate President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize

Published

on

t’s official: President Trump has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

On Tuesday, 18 members of Congress — all Republicans — sent a letter to the Norwegian Nobel Committee, nominating Trump to receive the award for his work to “end the Korean War, denuclearize the Korean peninsula, and bring peace to the region.”

Here’s what they wrote:

Since taking office, President Trump has worked tirelessly to apply maximum pressure on North Korea to end its illicit weapons programs and bring peace to the region. His Administration successfully united the international community, including China, to impose one of the most successful international sanctions regimes in history. The sanctions decimated the North Korean economy and have been largely credited for bringing North Korea to the negotiating table.

The nomination comes days after the leaders of North and South Korea announced they would enter a “new era of peace” and denuclearize the peninsula, though they provided few details on how that would happen.

The Republican group was led by Rep. Luke Messer of Indiana, who is running for Senate on a pro-Trump platform. The other lawmakers were:

Rep. Ralph Norman of South Carolina
Rep. Michael Burgess of Texas
Rep. Scott DesJarlais of Tennessee
Rep. Kevin Cramer of North Dakota
Del. Aumua Amata Coleman Radewagen of American Samoa
Rep. Mark Meadows of North Carolina
Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida
Rep. Doug LaMalfa of California
Rep. David McKinley of West Virginia
Rep. Brian Babin of Texas
Rep. Diane Black of Tennessee
Rep. Steve King of Iowa
Rep. Pete Olson of Texas
Rep. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee
Rep. Jim Renacci of Ohio
Rep. Evan Jenkins of West Virginia
Rep. Drew Ferguson of Georgia
“This is more progress in North Korea than we saw during the entire Obama administration,” Messer said in a statement. “And it’s a direct result of President Trump’s strong leadership on the world stage.”

Members of Congress are permitted to submit nominations for the award to the committee, which is responsible for selecting Nobel Peace Prize Laureates.

The lawmakers aren’t the only people who believe the president is deserving of the prize. Sen. Lindsey Graham, has said Trump’s handling of the North Korea was deserving of the prize — even if Democrats disagreed.

Over the weekend, the South Carolina Republican said he thought liberals “would kill themselves” if Trump won the prize.

“It may be the first time the Nobel Peace Prize was given and there was mass casualties because I think a lot of liberals would kill themselves if they did that,” he said on Fox News.

Trump, who has said he expects to meet with the North Korean leader in the next few weeks, has also received praise on the international scene.

“President Trump should win the Nobel Peace Prize. All we need is to bring peace,” South Korean President Moon Jae-in said Monday, according to the Blue House, Seoul’s equivalent of the White House.

BREAKING: Michelle Wolf Fired — Comedy Central Apologizes To Sarah Sanders

Published

By

The entertainment industry is reeling this morning after one of their rising stars, Michelle Wolf, has been fired from her show on Comedy Central. She was also dismissed as a contributing writer on The Daily Show. The move comes after Wolf’s brutal takedown of Sarah Huckabee Sanders at the White House Correspondent’s dinner:

“I think she’s very resourceful, like she burns facts and then she uses that ash to create a perfect smokey eye. Maybe she’s born with it, maybe it’s lies.”

What she obviously meant, if you listen to just about anyone, was that Sanders is a fat pig with lazy eye. Isn’t it obvious? Comedy Central thought so and dropped the hammer. CEO Art Tubolls released a statement:

“Comedy Central doesn’t take it lightly when a member of our team throws a compliment out that the whole world takes as an insult. It was uncalled for. Michelle should have anticipated people’s reaction and softened the speech to suit the needs of the room.”

Yes, that seems perfectly reasonable. Wolf, who 99.3 percent of conservatives had never heard of before this morning’s news that she wasn’t funny, is suing for wrongful termination. We’ll keep you updated.

Giuliani Calls Comey Out, Saying What No Other POTUS Lawyer Had The Guts to Say

Published

By

Kirsters Baish| Rudy Giuliani’s sit-down on Wednesday evening with Fox News personality Sean Hannity contained tons of headline-worthy lines. This was Giuliani’s first wide-ranging interview since he made his debut on President Trump’s legal team.

It was claimed that President Trump was aware of the payment that was made to porn star/accuser Stormy Daniels, however “he didn’t know the specifics of it.” It was explained that the money was not campaign money. Giuliani also explained that there would be criteria that would have to be met in order for Trump to testify in front of special counsel Robert Mueller.

Giuliani made one thing very clear. He doesn’t like former FBI Director James Comey at all.

During the interview, Giuliani actually stated that he wished that he had never even hired Comey in the first place when he brought him into the United States Attorney’s Office in the 1980s. He stated that Mueller’s investigation is “tainted” because Comey “seems to be the core of their investigation.”

Giuliani said to Hannity, “I know James Comey, I know the president. Sorry Jim, you’re a liar — a disgraceful liar.”

“Every FBI agent in America has his head down because of you,” Giuliani went on. “It would have been good for God if God kept you out of being the head of the FBI.”

Giuliani explained that he felt Comey should be prosecuted for having leaked a memo to the media through Columbia University Professor Daniel Richman that contained classified information.

He stated to Hannity, “I have an open mind about Bob (Mueller). I’ve known about Comey, I’ve closed my mind about Comey.”

“I know Comey much better, and I have the indignity of unfortunately of having hired him for his first big job. And I’m embarrassed that I hired him.”

There you have it. There’s no beating around the bush here.

Giuliani was interviewed by the Washington Post after he was hired by Trump during the middle of April. During the interview, he explained how he felt about Comey, saying, “Well, Comey I feel I can legitimately punch in the nose because he was my assistant and I’m embarrassed he was.”

“I’d like to take him out of the rolls,” he went on.

Conservative Tribune reports:

…the enmity doesn’t just flow in one direction. Giuliani was one of the targets in Comey’s book, “A Higher Royalty Loyalty.”

“There was something of an unwritten code about working in the office of Rudy Giuliani,” Comey wrote, according to Politico.

“In his case, the message was that Rudy was the star at the top and the successes of the office flowed in his direction. You violated this code at your peril.”

It’s good to see Giuiani calling Comey out for who he really is and all the things that he has done.

Kathy Griffin Makes Repulsive Demand Of WH Press Secretary – ‘I Mean It, Do It NOW!’

Published

on

By

athy Griffin went off the rails again in another classless display that shows why her career as a comedian hasn’t been as successful as other well-known people much more successful than her.

This time Griffin made repulsive comments that have people wondering if she has transitioned to the other gender while she’s been quietly hiding in the backend of the spotlight. In other words, she once again made remarks that would go viral, putting her back in the spotlight, but it’s in such a negative way that most people had to shake their heads and say “eeeeewwwwwww” right after what she said to the Deputy White House Press Secretary Hogan Gidley.

Gidley and Griffin were at the same event and Gidley was passing by the table she was sitting at. Griffin snapped at him by asking how he sleeps at night. Gidley replied that he sleeps well and said thanks. Then it seems like she said something else, and he asked if they were going to go at it right there on the spot, and that’s when Griffin went into the full nasty mode and talked with a repulsive next few words that had people questioning her behavior and gender at the same time.

Here’s what happened in full detail courtesy of the Washington Blade: “The event is a celebration of the First Amendment. As a longtime LGBT rights advocate, a comedian and provocateur, Griffin has made a long and successful career out of exercising her First Amendment right to free speech. The stunt last year in which she posed with a mock severed head of Donald Trump — which needlessly led CNN to fire her from a longstanding New Year’s Eve hosting gig with Anderson Cooper — was a textbook case of satire, which is constitutionally protected speech.

Thus, the decision to invite Griffin proved an easy and obvious one. (We also invited Stormy Daniels, but her attorney, Michael Avenatti, told me without irony that it would be too much of a “sideshow” for her to attend.)

Griffin didn’t disappoint, bringing her quick wit and fearless, LGBT-centric sense of humor to the dinner table. I met her and her boyfriend, Randy Bick, on the red carpet and held her purse as she posed for photographers and granted a series of TV interviews. Inside the heavy purse was a stapler; it turns out she suffered a last-minute wardrobe malfunction leaving the hotel, breaking a strap on her gown. After it was repaired, she feared a repeat and asked to borrow the stapler, just in case.

She proved a good sport throughout the night, posing for an endless stream of selfies with (mostly gay) fans who congratulated her on surviving the Trump machine’s attacks in the aftermath of the photo scandal. When asked how her famous mom Maggie is at age 96, Griffin replied, “drunk.”

The only awkward moment came when Deputy White House Press Secretary Hogan Gidley tried to squeeze past our table. Griffin stopped him and said, “How do you sleep at night?” Gidley replied, “Very well, thank you.” When Griffin expressed doubt about that, Gidley asked, “Are we really going to do this?”

That’s when things got interesting. Griffin, in her trademark style, retorted, “Yes we are, suck my d-ck! No, really, suck my d-ck!”

There was some back-and-forth, then Gidley, who was holding a Tecate, announced he was off to enjoy his Mexican beer “before we build the wall and you can’t get these anymore.” That prompted a farewell “f-ck you” from Griffin, triggering nervous laughter around our table.”

It sure sounds like they had a fun time exchanging comments before Kathy Griffin took it to the levels of a unprofessionalism, acting exactly like the person who couldn’t hold a job with the Squatty Potty.

Even though she claims to be a comedian, there’s still a level of professionalism that people should exude when they’re not on stage. Griffin has been unable to differentiate that and consistently confuses real life for her stage life (or lack thereof).

Griffin might have some fans, but she’s constantly finding ways to lose them with her inability to act decently in public and her outrageous attempts to place herself in the spotlight.

She’s in the spotlight again, but it’s not the type of spotlight a celebrity should want to be in since this doesn’t seem to be a way to gain new fans.

After her generic low-brow comments, some people might jokingly question if Kathy Griffin is a man. Nowadays, you just can’t tell anymore!

How do you feel about Kathy Griffin’s remarks? Share your opinion and then post this on your Facebook page so other people can join the conversation.
